yes we are slow and procrastinators.....

well it has been more than a year since we last wrote on this blog we started when I was pregnant with you. too much has happened since then but the biggest thing is you now have a baby sister Brooke! She was born January 13th, 2012 and we are now complete and feel so lucky to have two beautiful and healthy children. I say healthy because for the most part you have been but this week you are suffering from an ear infection, cold virus and tomorrow you go for your kidney ultrasound. sounds bad but despite all of this you are still a very happy, dancing boy and boy do you love to dance. whether its a commercial, tv show, car radio or someone singing you love to do your little dance moves like the swinging arm and the wiggle with your hands on your head. lately you are loving Thomas the train and Elmo too! You love going on walks with your puppy backpack and showing us what a big boy you are! You are loving your new sister and like to stare at her lovingly or tickling her or "helping" by using a wipe while I change her. Even though you sometimes get jealous when I'm feeding her and can't play with you or we are busy trying to make her laugh you still have adjusted really well and I think you will make great playmates one day. She seems to love you just as much as she's often smiling or watching you as you act crazy. We had a little scare with a dog bite last month but you have recovered well from that as well although still love to show off your boo boo.
We have also moved since our last post and loving the new house and neighbourhood in Beamsville. We have some great neighbours and a park close by and enjoy the peace and quiet of a small town. We think it will be a great place for you and Brooke to grow up in and hopefully enjoy. We are still a short drive from Burlington where all the family is and still see everyone regularly. It won't be long now until we are throwing a party for your 2nd birthday, hard to believe! Well hopefully we will become better at keeping this updated as we hope one day you and Brooke will appreciate reading it!
I'm going to try and include a picture of our newest bundle of love and joy!
Daddy and I love you both, always and forever!

Your very first Christmas!

Well Bud

We just got through  your very first Christmas and New Years and what a great time we had with you little man. It is so amazing how fast you seem to be changing , that your growing so fast. You are coming up to 7 months now.
Christmas was  an amazing time with you and Mommy  We started out by going to Uncle Jon and Aunt Krystal's house on Christmas Eve for dinner and to exchange presents and to watch Ashley in the Christmas pageant at church.

You got your first car and first plane before you turned one. You got your car from Nana and Papa which is yellow and red with flames . And Gran Anne and Grampa Jim gave you a plane which you can make the propeller go and light up . Santa brought you a little couch which turns into a race track that you can lay on. It has been a truly fun time with you and Mommy. We went to Aunt Trish and Uncle Tony's house Christmas  day and then to the Mickers house for Christmas Dinner.
New years Eve we went to Niagara on the lake  and stayed over just the three of us  and went shopping at the stores in town all day long which didn't seem to bother you at all it was great to get away as this was your first over night some where else from home. We went to Niagara Falls at night to a concert with you that had the Bare Naked Ladies and Great Big Sea .We spent a while there but ended up leaving early and made it home just before midnight to watch Niagara Falls on TV . It was a long day for you but you did so great.
I know there is plenty I am missing but most of all it was great to spend the week with you and Mommy . And Mommy and I are looking forward to your next Christmas and truly are thankful for you Bud ...Love Dad

TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN!

Well it's December now and in a few short days you will be turning six months old! Wow, feels like just yesterday we were bringing you home. Everybody always told me to enjoy each day because it goes fast and now I see what they meant. It's already starting to feel like you are no longer an infant, the little boy that fit in my one arm. These days you are growing so fast and feel so heavy in my arms. Your feet dangle over my arms when I'm holding you close. Me and daddy have enjoyed every minute of your changing personality. You are the happiest baby and love to laugh and smile at anyone and everything. You love it when we sing and talk in funny voices and you sure are ticklish. Anywhere I go with you everybody comments on how happy you are and ask me if you ever cry. Don't worry, I assure them that you certainly do cry when you need to but even then it never seems to last long. Sadly, right now you are battling your first cold and I feel so bad as I listen to your sniffles but hopefully it won't last long. We are letting you sleep next to us in bed to make you feel better. Right now you are sound asleep with Daddy while I write this. It's only a few short weeks until your very first Christmas. Even though it's a busy time with selling Daddy's house we are trying to enjoy all these precious firsts that you have. There hasn't been much snow at all but we've taken you to see Santa, decorated the tree, done lots of shopping and already been to a few Christmas parties with you. You loved sitting with Santa and there were no tears at all. Hopefully it stays that way and there will be many more cute photos to follow. You have started rolling over and you have two bottom teeth that have poked out of your gums now. Won't be long before you are talking and walking. Well I think that's it for the update and I must say that you by far are the greatest gift this Christmas for me and Daddy and we love you very much!
Love Mommy xo.

Little Halloweenie

Well little Brodster, you just had your first Halloween and what a great time we had. Your just shy of 5 months old now . I simply cannot believe what a cute little personality  your getting . your laughing at quite a bit and smiling all the time it seems. One thing that you love to hear is when I sign sponge Bob square pants. as soon as I start with the big " OHHH" you start laughing , which just gets your Mother and I Laughing right with you. Another thing you love to laugh at your mother discovered just saying "Kiss" seems to send you into a frenzy, so now we've been saying "Kiss kiss kiss" .Some How to you , you think its funny  and we both just love hearing the cute little laugh that seems to be brighter then the sun itself . Well anyway  back to Halloween, we started out by going to aunt Trish and Tonys house for a quick visit and to show off your two outfits Mummy had for you. One is an Orange Pumpkin with a face on the chest which was cute followed by the peas in a Podd as seen above . Although this outfit didn't last to long as you figured out how to pull the foam peas off of it . Nana and papa were there and papa was in a ape mask that scared amelia and Giacomo but didn't seem to bother you. After this we went to Aunt amanda and Uncle Chris ( the Mickers) Gran Ann was there too and they thought your outfits were cute. Something Else your doing is you have a new exersauser that we have near the TV that you seem to enjoy sitting in and turning yourself so you can watch TV  and your spinning  the tumbler and grabbing things on this and shout out something  that is so cute to hear. Well Bud thats about it for now , your Mother just came in the door and I'm Going to run. But just wanted to tell you I love you  and I write in hear soon again. Love Dad

PS Looking Forward to Christmas coming up . Excited to see  what Santa will bring you this year.

Welcome little one!

Ta-dah, you arrived. Fast forward three months from our last posting and you are now a happy well-behaved good little boy that just turned 3 months old! It's been a busy summer and a quick 3 months but boy have we loved every minute of it. I'm watching you asleep in your swing right now as I type this. Me and daddy have been all over the place with you this summer. From the cottage to the lion safari to car shows to niagara falls to swimming and to many, many birthday parties and everywhere in between. June 11th turned out to be the big day and I won't go into too much detail but you finally decided to come out around 9 pm to see me and daddy and all the family anxiously waiting for you. The second we saw you, me and daddy were both crying tears of joy. You looked just perfect and still do. You've brought so much fun and laughter into our lives and we love you to bits. Even the days you have peed, pooped, spit up or exploded on us we still melt every time we see you smile. You have the most gorgeous smile ever and it never fails to make me smile. Your newest tricks are standing up on our laps facing us showing us how strong you are and holding your head up high, talking away to Macca Pacca who you love to giggle with on your change table, sticking your tongue out when we do raspberries trying to imitate us and most recently you are almost rolling over onto your tummy. You are growing so quickly and have already grown out of some clothes. Last doctor's visit you were almost 12 pounds. The next couple months should be even more fun as you get to try your first taste of real foods, go to swimming lessons and keep making us laugh and smile everyday with you. Thank you for being such a good little boy with your sleeping and eating and I can't wait for the adventures to come! Love you beautiful boy!

any day now....

hi baby

its thursday june 10th and im waiting to call the doctor to find out when your big day will be. I think it will either be tomorrow, june 11th or monday june 14th. so close now. he's checking on your ultrasound from yesterday to see if there's any news. i will likely have a c-section which makes mommy a little nervous but I think it will be fine. you have been kicking lots lately and the doctor says you will be a big baby, likely around 10 pounds so now daddy and I call you our little butterball. we are both so excited for your birthday and so is the rest of the family. we have everything ready for you and have received lots of nice gifts for you too. mommy's friends put on a shower/picnic for me and daddy. it was a very hot day but we had fun at LaSalle Park in Burlington, hanging out with all my friends and their kids and husbands. we brought a pinata for the kids to play with and there was lots of food and gifts. mommy has been off work for a little while now and enjoying the rest although still doing typing work and getting the house ready for you. the family seems to be split on whether you will be a boy or girl. daddy and I go back and forth but lately we think you are a boy. i guess we'll know for sure very soon. well it's time to call Dr. Hunter now so the next time we talk will likely be in person although we are going to try and keep this blog going so that one day you can read it all and see just how excited we were for your arrival. stay healthy and strong baby and we will see you soon!

hugs and kisses, Mommy.

mommy's day

hi baby

time for me to write, being my first mother's day and all. i had a great day with you. we got to see all sorts of family, most of which we hadn't seen in quite awhile. daddy helped me clean all morning and make the house nice and ready for your arrival. he also helped me with my sore back, since we are getting close to your due date, i've been having more trouble with sleeping and stuff but other than sore back and legs, i have had a great pregnancy with you. after that we met gran anne and grampa jim for a late breakfast at the harbour diner next door. it's one of me and daddy's favourite places to go for breakfast and maybe one day you'll get to enjoy it too. they were both just back from vacations in the sunny states so it was nice to see them again. they got me some beautiful flowers for my first mommy's day and they came over after to check your new nursery, which is all ready for you now. we are really happy with it and hope you are too! after that we went over to aunt krystal's house as everyone else was there and we stopped in to visit. we got to see all of your cousins as well as aunt amanda and uncle chris  too. again, i got some nice flowers from both aunt's and even a baby gift of a nice snugli and nursing cover from amanda. after that visit we went to see your nana and papa and went for a nice chinese dinner. it was nice to see them again too. we've been so busy lately getting ready for you and taking our pre-natal classes too. we only have 1 left after tomorrow night's class and you are only about 4-5 weeks away from arriving. can't wait to meet  you. this week is my last week of work and then me and you can relax for a while hopefully and have a mini vacation with daddy in collingwood for his birthday before the big day comes. thanks for such a nice first mothers day and looking forward to many more with you and daddy. Goodnight baby.
